Former Leader of The Green Party at Future Resource Expo 2018
Having lead The Green Party to their best ever election result in 2015, Natalie Bennett is still very much involved in all things environmental. Natalie is working full time for the Greens in Sheffield and is focusing on a variety of environmental issues such as energy, food security and farming policy.
In 1999, Natalie moved to the UK from Australia, and began writing for The Guardian's "Comment is Free" section in 2006. She was also editor of The Guardian Weekly from December 2007 until March 2012.
In the autumn of 2012, Natalie took over as party leader. Following the 7 way party debate and growing support across the country, Natalie and the Green Party came third in the 2015 UK General Election, the Greens best-ever finish.
Natalie strived to bring politics and environmental issues together, in order to bring about greater awareness and positive change. She continues to do this, and believes Sustainable Development Goals provide the framework to do so.
